"The first "Mozart in Egypt" was a risk, even a dare: no-one had any idea what would come of it. The sucess of that disc was a surprise and a revelation: that first Mozart journey on a magic carpet flying between East and West brought out new images and sensations. But the concerts that followed showed that is possible to go much futher in the interchange between these two types of music, however different they might be. We were hungry for more. So that's why this time Mozart's scores have been more daringly "orientalised", and the musicians of the two "camps" have, so to speak, more often dressed in each other's clothes. We are all impetient to get back on stage."
